OUR PROJECTS
Uganda is located in central Africa and is approximately 241,000 km² in size. Around 48 million people live there in very different living situations.
In the south of the country there is a pleasant climate that favors agriculture, blooming vegetation and wildlife show us the beauty of Africa. There are some active Christian aid organizations, good communities, schools and training opportunities there.
The situation is completely different in the poorer and much hotter and drier north of the country. There, on the border with Sudan and the Congo, a refugee camp (Rhinocamp) was set up a few years ago in this already poor area with around 210,000 people who fled across the border from the bloody civil war in Sudan.
This camp seems to be forgotten before the world. The aid from the UN refugee agency is not enough to live on and just enough to die. People live in hunger and misery and survival would not be possible without the help and support of private and church aid organizations.
Christians from the nearby town of Arua are involved there and a small community has emerged. Volunteers and pastors preach the good news of JESUS to people (mainly Muslims) and show the love of God through practical help.
Where we would like to support Uganda with JESUS IS LORD, help local Christians, bring relief supplies and, above all, show people the saving, healing and liberating power of Jesus through preaching and prayer service.
